A Meteoric Rise to Stardom

Milne’s journey to the top was nearly instantaneous. At just 17, while still playing school cricket, he was fast-tracked into the Central Districts side. His First-Class debut in 2010 against Canterbury remains legendary; he took a wicket with his second delivery and finished with 4/52. Despite being touted as the fastest bowler in New Zealand since Shane Bond, Milne’s career has often been interrupted by the physical toll of his high-intensity action. He was a vital part of the 2015 World Cup squad until a heel injury cruelly ruled him out before the semi-final.
