Tim Seifert: The Kiwi Powerhouse
International Brilliance & Record Centuries
Tim Seifert’s reputation as a “big-match” player reached new heights in 2025. On August 31, 2025, playing for the Saint Lucia Kings in the CPL, he smashed an unbeaten 125 off 53 balls*, equalling Andre Russell’s record for the fastest century in CPL history (40 balls). This followed a sensational international series against Pakistan in March 2025, where he sent the bowling attack on a leather hunt with a career-best 97 off 38 balls.
IPL Journey: From RCB to KKR 2026
Seifert’s IPL career has been a story of high-value tactical depth. After earlier stints with KKR and Delhi Capitals, he joined RCB in May 2025 as a replacement for Jacob Bethell. However, for the 2026 season, KKR outbid their rivals to bring him back to the Eden Gardens. Known for his ability to dismantle spin in the middle overs and exploit powerplays, Seifert is projected to open the batting alongside either Finn Allen or Ajinkya Rahane in the 2026 campaign.
