A skiddy left-arm pacer with the rare ability to extract uncomfortable bounce even on sluggish tracks, Mohsin Khan (born July 15, 1998) has emerged as one of India’s most promising fast-bowling talents. Hailing from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the tall left-armer is known for his consistent 140+ kph pace and a deceptive bouncer that has troubled some of the best batters in the world.

As of January 22, 2026, Mohsin Khan is focused on a major comeback. After a challenging period marked by a serious shoulder injury that saw him miss the 2025 season, he has been officially retained by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the IPL 2026 season for ₹4 Crore. To ensure he is in peak physical condition, LSG sent him to a specialized training and rehabilitation camp in Durban, South Africa, in late December 2025 to work with elite coaches like Bharat Arun.

Mohsin Khan: Career Profile & 2025–26 Milestones

The “Miracle” Comeback

Mohsin’s journey is one of extreme resilience. In 2023, he famously revealed that he almost lost his bowling arm due to a medical condition involving blood clots. His return to the field was a testament to his grit, and he has since become a cornerstone of the LSG pace battery.

IPL 2026: The Strategic Retention

Despite his injury setbacks, Lucknow Super Giants demonstrated immense faith in Mohsin’s “X-factor” by making him one of their core retentions.

  • The Durban Rehab (Jan 2026): Throughout early January, Mohsin trained with the Durban Super Giants (DSG) during the SA20 season. This stint was designed to test his workload in high-intensity environments before the Indian summer begins.

  • The LSG Pace Trio: Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, Mohsin is expected to form a lethal “Triple Threat” pace attack alongside veteran Mohammed Shami and the lightning-fast Mayank Yadav.

Domestic Standing

Mohsin remains a key figure for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. When fit, he is a regular in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squads. His performance in the 2022 season, where he claimed 14 wickets in just 9 matches with an incredible economy of 5.97, remains the benchmark for left-arm pacers in the IPL.
